Bitten by the Bug 2 Challenge

Thanks to Bitten by the Bug 2 for their Pooh and Friends Challenge, Clouds  I've had this cartridge for a while and this is the first time I have used it, many thanks for that.  The clouds are just so cute.

The great thing about having 'scrappin' nights at fellow scrapbooking friends home's is that you get to talk about blog world challenges and this is where I was told about this challenge!  Many thanks for that!  The clouds went well with this layout as our baby girl is fast asleep - away in the clouds!

I used the Don Juan cricut cartridge for the title from the 'Silly Colours' range of papers from Basic Grey, many years ago.  Never thought I'd use that paper - just goes to show!

I then emboosed the clouds with the Sizzix 'swirls' embossing folder and glittered them up with Stickles 'Star Dust'.

Above my journal box I used Collections Scallop Edges chipboard, which I painted with Making Memories 'bordeaux' colour, then embossed it and used 'sparkle' embossing powder, it was great to use my heat gun again!

Once again, thankyou Bitten by the Bug 2 for a great challenge, I'm sure to use those clouds alot more now!

"Anything Goes" with my Splash Munchkin!

At Getting Cricky with K Andrew, there's a "Anything Goes" Challenge!  My page layout of my Splash Munchkin suited this challenge as it was a layout I did with no sketch in mind, no challenge in mind to use this and that, just what I felt I wanted to do and use on this layout.

For this layout I used Cricut Cartridges 'New Arrival' for the bath, 'Disney Princesses Dreams Come True' for the many bubbles and the title was the 'Gypsy Font'.

The bubbles are vellum with white pen marked around the edge of the layout as stitching.

Thanks to Getting Cricky with with K Andrew for a challenge of 'anything goes'.

A Stitchy Sketch

Thanks to The Scrappiest for a great sketch challenge and Frosted Designs for a great stitching challenge.

Sketches are relativley new to me and I'm enjoying using them.  The challenge from Frosted Designs enabled me to use my new Sew Easy tool, now I know why my scrapping friends said you just had to get one of these new tools - they're awesome! I'm not one to get the sewing machine out for my scrapbooking but have wanted to put stitching on my pages for a while and now I can. I really enjoyed working on this layout.

I used some thread I've had in my box for quite some time and blinged the tag up with Stickles Star Dust (one of my favourite's)!

I used the New Arrival and Simply Sweet Cricut cartridges and blinged the title up with Stickles Black Diamond (which you can't tell - but I did!).

Thanks again to The Scrappiest and Frosted Designs for a great challenge.

Frosted Designs: Fabulous Friday Challenge - Banners

Thanks to Frosted Designs for a great challenge.  I've been working on this layout and I was needing a title but wasn't sure of what to do, then when I saw your challenge, I thought perfect, a banner for the title and I think it compliments this layout really well!

I used the Celebrations cricut cartridge for my banner through my Gypsy and for the first time, I used the 'hide' function on the gypsy so I could have a blank banner.

I've also used my I Rock tool to do some blinging up and to hold my banner up!

I just used good old cotton thread for the banner and ribbon throughout the layout.

Thanks for giving me a great title idea!

Always Crafting: Whimsical Wednesday Winter Challenge

Thanks to Always Crafting for a great challenge.

Stephanie is having a Whimsical Wednesday challenge of "Make a scrapbook page/pages of any size that is winter themed (include the winter holidays too)"

This challenge was perfect for me to start my 'Honeymoon' album (which was 5 years ago, but never mind) We choose New Zealand to see, feel and experience snow for the first time.  It was exciting going back down memory lane.

Regarding the journalling notes - I gave that job to my husband, so when he wrote 'hot wife' I thought that was really sweet so I just had to put that down!

I've used the When it's Cold Outside cricut cartridge for the snow flakes.  For the second page, I used Stickles Star Dust on the snow flakes to make them look more icy. The big snow flake on the first page is a rub on with embellishments of ski's and a ski jacket.

My journal tags are cut from my Creative Memories Tag Maker Punch with some 'snow' looking ribbon.  I have inked around the edging of my journal tags and the first and third pages with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.

Thanks to Always Crafting for a fun challenge.

Sketches in Thyme Challenge - Thursday Takes #38

I used Nursery Rhyme Cricut cartridge for the pictures and the font.

Here is the sketch I followed:

I loved this patterned paper with the Nursery Rhyme Hey Diddle Diddle written within the patterns.

I used Tattered Rose distress ink around the edge.

Thank you for the great challenge Sketches in Thyme. I loved that sketch.
